How we meet

Our services, held on Sundays at 9.30 am, are a place where we as a community gather to worship God, be encouraged in what it means to live faithfully as his people, and enjoy the experience of a loving and gracious community. As a community we celebrate the Lord's Supper weekly, presided over by a member of the congregation. Our services reflect the multi-generational culture of our church, with participation of all ages encouraged. Our Sunday service is a wonderfully relaxing place in which people of all ages can worship and reflect on God and the Christian Life.

As well as our Sunday morning service we have a number of groups within the life of our church who meet regularly and contribute to our church community. These groups reflect the overall desire that Happy Valley Church of Christ be a place in which you experience the graciousness of God, the care and support of fellow Christians and God’s work of reconciliation. If you would like more information please contact the church office on 08 8370 6006 or use the Contact page of this site.

Bible Studies and Discussion Groups

Our Bible Study/Discussion groups are an open place in which groups of people explore the meaning and importance of scripture within the Christian life. We have a number of groups at various times throughout the week.

Youth & Young Adults

Youth and young adults are a vital part of Happy Valley Church of Christ. Youth are welcomed to participate in the life of the wider church as well as specific youth social events, camps and studies. For times and dates please contact the church office.

Coffee and Chat

Coffee and Chat, or CC's, as it is commonly known, meet every month in homes of people in our congregation for a relaxing time of coffee, chat, and craft.

Movie Appreciation Group

The Movie Appreciation Group meets about every six weeks to watch a film and discuss the message of the film and how it reflects God and the Christian life.

50's Plus

50's plus is a thriving ministry in our church for retired people. We have a number of retirement villages nearby who add to the wonderful sense of multi-generational community we share. '50's Plus' gather at the church on the second Friday of the month for food, fellowship and reflection; as well as carpet bowls and trading tables.

Basketball

The church has a number of basketball teams that play in the SA Church basketball competition. Games are played on Saturday afternoon during the winter (generally, April to September).
